CAE (Cambridge English Advanced)

CAE & Beyond

C1 Advanced, formerly known as Cambridge English: Advanced (CAE), is one of our Cambridge English Qualifications. It is the in-depth, high-level qualification that shows you have the language skills that employers and universities are looking for.

CAE & Beyond

The Cambridge English exam is divided into different sections:

  • KET (Key English – A2, elementary)
  • PET (Preliminary English – B1, intermediate)
  • FCE (First Certificate of English – B2, upper-intermediate)
  • CAE (Cambridge English Advanced – C1, advanced)
  • CPE (Cambridge English Proficiency – C2, proficient)

At SPS you will learn the layout of the exam and what is to be expected when you enter the exam. Our teachers will be here to monitor your progress and give you the chance to get the best grade possible.

How SPS teach English:

Here at SPS, we believe that our lessons must be carefully planned and dynamic to give you the best experience possible.

Each one of our English teachers is fully qualified and experienced in engaging with students of all forms.

We aim to create a warm environment for all our students and hope their experience at SPS is remembered.

Engaging with students is crucial as it enables our students to improve their English and speaking. Through continuous tests throughout the course, homework, and tutorials SPS has achieved exceptional results throughout the years.

Assessments throughout the terms help teachers understand whether you are ready to move onto the next level, we monitor each stage of each student’s progress and make sure each student is given the support needed.

Who is this course for?

Learning English is very important, as it is expected by both universities and employers. Our specialised courses will help you pass your exam and develop your English.

What is the difference between IELTS And CAE?

What exactly is the distinction between IELTS and CAE (Cambridge Advanced)?

While these examinations are prepared by Cambridge Assessment English and include sections for speaking, reading, listening, and writing, there are significant variances. CAE (as well as KET, PET, FCE, and CPE) include a Use of English component that covers grammar and vocabulary problems, and the test is lengthier, lasting around four hours.

The IELTS test is valid for two years before you must retake it, however, the CAE/FCE/CPE tests do not. CAE is intended for a certain level (C1), whereas IELTS is intended for students at all levels, from beginner to advanced. The IELTS speaking examinations are simply with the examiner, but the CAE speaking segment requires you to talk with a partner who is also taking the test.
